According to the Hollywood Reporter, Heard is suing London Fields producer Christopher Hanley and his wife Roberta, the film’s screenwriter, for violating a “nudity rider” included in her contract by shooting footage that she had no knowledge of after she had left the set. Heard’s lawyer says that the footage, featured in a producer’s cut of the film, was edited so as to leave audiences “with the distinct impression that it was Heard” in the scene.

The Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski has failed in his bid to bring an end to his long-running rape case. Polanski pleaded guilty to unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977 and fled on the eve of sentencing. He said the judge reneged on a promise to sentence him to probation after he underwent a diagnostic study at a California prison.

This year Cannes Film Festival is facing immense criticism for the official poster where the Italian actor appeared to have been airbrushed to make her look thinner. Festival’s 70th anniversary poster features a young Cardinale, whose waist has been narrowed and thighs made slimmer. French media poured scorn on the festival for seemingly tampering with a photograph of Cardinale swirling her skirt on a Rome roof in 1959.
